You may recall that over the summer I was doing quite a bit of scrapbooking. Oodles of scrapbooking, actually, though I STILL can’t share why. (But I promise as soon as I can, you’ll be the first to know.)
Anyway, the purpose of this post isn’t to taunt you with scrapbook pages that I can’t show you, but instead to tell you the story of a girl and her new printer love.
The girl, by the way, is me, and the new printer love is the Epson R1900.
See in the midst of my big (secret) scrapbooking extravaganza, I came to realize that a printer capable of printing 12 x 12 pages would come in quite handy. I’m a 12 x 12 girl (and a 6 x 6 mini album girl) and I although I’m not a digital scrapbooker, I love to journal via the computer. So, wouldn’t it be handy to be able to use an entire sheet of 12 x 12 paper when printing my journaling for a 6×6 mini album? And wouldn’t it be so much easier to print my journaling for a 12 x 12 page directly onto a sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock? Yes. And yes.
My new printer crush can do these things…and so much more. Because when you have a printer like this in your midst you start to think of the possibilities…like including enlarged photos in your scrapbooks…or going digital altogether (or at least every once in a while.) And this printer can do all of this.
The print quality is amazing…and you can print on CD’s (which certainly appeals to my desire to organize things.) It’s really an amazing machine toy.
So if your looking for a new toy for holiday wish-list…keep this beauty in mind.
Yeah! It is even Mac compatible! So many of them aren’t:(
I have the older Model Epson R1800 and I am too, in love with this printer. I am a digital scrapbooker and occasionally do hybrid pages. The print quaility is so much more superior to the prints from Costco or Shutterfly. My husband loves the CD/DVD printing capability. I recommend using Epson papers to get the best results.
Hi Aby! I’m new to scrapbooking and blogging….just started this month. I had an Epson back in the day…absolutely loved it. We then bought one of those all in one HP’s…HATE IT. So I’m excited to learn about the printer you mentioned. Definitely adding it to my wishlist.
I have been craving a 12x 12 printer for months and months. Lucky you, enjoy your new toy. If you know Santa, put my wish in for one. 😉

OK now I think you must be able to see me over here in England, ’cause that’s the one I own. Isn’t it great! I absolutely love it. Enjoy! Katherine x
Thanks for the tip and we can’t wait to hear about your secret!
I think I know what you were doing!!! Happy Thanksgiving…it’s time to be inspired and get organinzed, chat later. Met Wendy (she taught my class) at CKC Seattle and had her sign my (your) book right next to your signature!
I just found your blog. I am very interested in this same printer, but I am wondering how much it costs to print each color photo 12×12 page? I take tons of pics, and therefore I scrap tons of pics. I am into digi scrapping for the most part. Just wondering if this would be cost effective or should I just stick with hardbound books. It just looks like a really cool printer, though!
