You know I love a good Target find. And so does a fellow blog reader named Julie. She shared this great find with me
along with this sweet note:
Just wanted to pass along a happy Target find this week that I thought your blog readers/clients might enjoy. I loved Kelli Crowe’s scrapbook room, which was featured in your book The Organized and Inspired Scrapbooker. Ever since I first saw it, I have been searching for a “portable workstation” similar to Kelli’s orange tray. This week I found trays at Target in the kitchen area that are perfect! I bought a cute red one, but they have other colors as well for just $12.99. I thought others may want to know about them. I know I have been so blessed by your suggestions and those of others commenting on your blog. Hope this helps someone :o)
Thank you, Julie! And I have to say, I was smitten with Kelli’s tray, too. And have one (or two) myself. 😉 I love it…makes it super simple to scrapbook in front of the T.V. or while hanging out with the family.
Does anyone else use a tray for portable scrapbooking? Any other solutions for scrapping in front of the T.V. or at the kitchen table? Do share…I’d love to hear from you. 🙂
LOL, I have that same red tray from Target! And was also inspired by Kelli Crowes in her scraproom pic! How crazy! =)
What a cute tray. When I don’t want to scrapbook/stamp in my scrap room by myself and I want to hang out with my husband in the family room, I use a portable bed tray. It does make it so much easier to work in front of the TV. But, I love the red tray…may have to get that too 🙂

Oh no…I feel a Target run coming on! (It doesn’t take much to trigger one for me. 😉
. . .not yet. . .but I will after I get to Target. . .think they will sell out before Sunday???

Ooooh! Want. Need. Have to have 🙂
I have a big white cutting board that I use. That way I don’t care if I get anything on it, or if I accidentally cut it with my tools.
I have a small laundry tub that I use — not as pretty, but I need a deeper container to carry my things.
I love these trays! I have several in my scrapbook room for moving things around…mostly in front of the tv. BUT I’ve been looking for 2 red ones for the top of my coffee table (for my current magazines and books I am reading, etc). Renee, I am off to target:):)
I have a galvanized steel tray that is pretty lightweight and has sturdy handles. I love to load it up with goodies and move it around the house. Sometimes I even scrap on the patio or in the gazebo with it. Kelly was also the one to give me this idea. It’s made me much more productive!
My portable scrapbooking station is in a large tote bag. I have a large-ish pencil box that holds pencils, an art eraser, a small ruler, the pens I need for the project, scissors and adhesive. Everything else is in the tote including my paper trimmer (cutter bug), stamps and ink (in a larger zipper bag), paper, punches and ribbon. Photos are in an envelope and can fit in a zippered pocket on the side if there’s lots of stuff in the tote and I am worried about them getting squished.
I can grab my tote and head into the living room where I scrap on the coffee table while I watch TV. Everything goes back into the tote before bed. Recyclable scraps go into a paper grocery bag.
This is a recent idea and I find that I am actually getting stuff done! I can really grab and go, which is the only way for me to get stuff done.

After reading about this – I’ve been using them & I love it because I’ll take a mini project out of my scrapbook room & do it while the kids are doing their homework.
you gotta love target… enabling the scrapbooking sickness once again. : )
