…I scrapbook. To share, preserve and put together in a single place photos like these.
This is my Grandma and my mom in 1936.
My Mom and me in 1968.
Me and my baby boy in 1999.
I love these photos. We’re all holding our babies the exact same way. We’re all smiling the exact same way. We’re all so in love with those little babies in our arms.
Excited to spend some time playing with photos this weekend…and getting a few memories out of the photo boxes and onto a scrapbook page. I’m also thinking about joining in Ali’s Week in the Life project going on on her blog next week. Have you seen this? I think it’s great for avid scrapbookers and for people who think “Oh, that looks too hard.” Ali will show you how to do it…and it’ll be so fun to have some snippets of your life captured on the pages of a scrapbook. (Oh…I think I’m talking myself into it.)
Any other takers? Or…are you working on some other fun scrapbook projects already? Would love to know what you’re up to. I haven’t chatted with you all about scrapbooking in a while… 🙂
Have a great weekend!
LOVE those three photos. So precious. Mummy love clear to see.
Beautiful photographs.
I too am gearing up for Ali’s ‘A Week in the Life’ and also something I am REALLY excited about.
I just read the book “Style Statement: Live by you own design” and it was, well not to be overdramatic–life changing! By the way, no affiliation with the book or its authors, just a really satisfied reader. And have found that I’m “Comfortable Creative.”
SO I’m planning out a little mini book about that. What makes me tick, what grounds me, what lets me fly. So I can remember the next time I feel lackluster and uninspired.
If you haven’t already–read it, love it, live it.
And oh yeah, one of my new goals is to actually work on my blog. It’s been sitting there for ages with not an entry to speak of. Enough already. 🙂
These pictures are beautiful! I would definitely have them on my wall in a special little nook.
Thank you for sharing,
Sarah
Those are such precious pictures!!!!!! Beautiful beautiful beautiful! 🙂
I am so taking part in Ali’s challenge. I plan to attach my camera to my hip daily and not be intimidated by documenting my life. (That sounds all bold and strong but we’ll see, people get weird when a crazy scrapper pulls out a camera.) I need to print out her list and get it in front of me. I am a tangible, visual learner and need to see and feel it to remember.
The love in the eyes on all of you is just something magical. These photos are not only extraordinary, they are also ordinary. Ordinary in the way that it captures the very essense of motherhood. I welled up with tears seeing all three and I don’t even know you! These photos should be celebrated and cherished, just as you intend to.
Thanks for this today. It’s an awesome way to appreciate a good Saturday. I plan on scrapping a lot this quiet weekend and maybe I will focus a page or two on motherhood. 🙂
Also, I am doing the Week in the Life project with Ali! I think it’ll be just what I need for experiencing a new creative process and I look forward to the results very much. Hope we can see yours, too.
Sweet photos!! Unfortunately I will be unearthing ancient ruins in my garage this weekend. Enjoy your scrapping!

That is exactly why I scrapbook!!! What a treasure you have in those photos! I am jealous! And yep, I took my photo this morning … I even started last night on some stuff around the house. Ali is just wonderful, isn’t she?
Aww what great photos. I was thinking about doing Ali’s challenge, but I have so much on my plate as it is. I just finished up my Christmas Planner and I am excited to have an organized stress free holiday(fingers crossed). Maybe with more time to create during that busy time! I look forward to seeing your album.
What great pictures! I love scrapbooking and wish I could join you today in having a little scrapping fun. But alas the garage needs to be cleaned out. And that wins over scrapping today! 🙁
Those pictures are fantastic. I’m not doing Ali’s challenge since I’m in Stacy’s class at BPS and we are doing “30 Days Hath September” which is a month of daily pages.
i too am taking part in Ali’s challenge – have done a day in a life but a week will be excellent!
LOVe those photos! Would love to see your page with them too!
I’m gearing up for Ali’s challenge too. Should be fun! I also have several other scrappy projects in the works, but they can wait!
Oh my goodness! These pictures are so precious. I can’t believe you found one just alike from all three generations. I will have to try and find some like those. That will be my goal. Thanks for sharing.
What a lovely series of photos! Thanks for sharing them.
I’m a little late on the uptake, but I just started Ali’s challenge today. What a fun and exhausting day! But can’t wait for tomorrow…loved reading about your day-to-day!
love those photos. made me tear up bc i lost my aunt last year and i have photos of when i was 1yr old and then at my cotillion at 15.
I LOVE how you took that picture of you and your beautiful baby boy just like your mom and your grandma! What a wonderful memory! I’m sure that made a great layout for the scrapbook!
I’m enjoying reading your organizing tips…I am an organizational FREAK and LOVE the little tidbits!!! Thanks so much!
These photos made me get tears in my eyes. 🙂
