Which means one of two things—Finish it Friday or Freebie Friday! Well…guess what? Today is the last Friday of summer vacation around here, which means today is an extra-special kind of Friday. So today we’ll do both—Finish It Friday and Freebie Friday. Woohoo!
Let’s start with Finish It Friday. Here’s my big plan for the weekend: finish getting ready for back to school! Tuesday is the big day after all, so final prep for school will be my primary focus for the weekend.

Finish It…finally get the deck stained! We’ve had a wet summer and it’s been hard to find a dry three-day stretch. But this weekend looks like a winner, and with summer coming to a close, it’s time to finish it! It takes a bit of organizing to get it done, but boy will it feel GREAT!

I actually started my Finish it Friday yesterday and got a few things done already!
Still on the to-do list is
– Order photos for an upcoming scrapbok weekend.
– Clean kitchen desk
– Organize my daughter’s file folder, clean out last year’s school things and get this year’s items filed.
– And clip and organize my coupons that have been piling up!
Can’t wait to see what the freebie is!

I have a short list (phew!) for today since I’m going away tonight! YAY! Already for finish-it-Friday, I took a couple of minutes to clean the dust out of my computer – a long overdue task for sure, the poor little fan was just running and running. Now it just sits there quietly like it should!
This weekend I really hope to
– get 3 baby cards made
– sort through the clean laundry, fold, iron if needed and put away.
– write up a list of things to get for the new school year
– re organize playroom.
Thank goodness tomorrow is a public holiday tomorrow here!
This is my first “Finish It” Friday. I plan to
— eliminate the clutter “hot spots” in all the public rooms (we’re having guests)
— finish the journaling on a Grandparents album I started for my son last year
— clean the fish tank
Public accountability is a good motivator. 🙂
I have a busy weekend planned so I only have one item on my list. Finish my desk chair! I bought a chair at Goodwill for a few dollars and the supplies to bring it back to life. Now it’s a matter of rolling up my sleeves and getting it done!
We will clean out the attic – it’s the last area of our house that has not been cleaned out – then we are ready to show our house to sell – hehaw!!!
We also have back to school preps to do. We begin homeschooling on Monday! So I have to plan a special breakfast and some special moments to make the first day special!
My list for the weekend:
– finish calendar for PTA fundraiser
– inventory school clothes
– update household management binder
– figure out how to be Aby Garvey (ok maybe I won’t finish that one, but I’ll give it a start with planning a new launch pad area, an updated homework center and lunch bin)

I have two plants left to get into the ground. I hurt my back when I planted their friends, but now they are going in even if I have to enlist someone’s help. Then there is my poor computer which is running so slow. I am hoping that cleaning stuff out of it will take care of its problem. I absolutely need to finish those two things because there are at least ten projects waiting for me to start.
