That’s right—Freebie Friday for the second week in a row. Woohoo! Before I spill the beans on this week’s freebie, remember there’s still time to register for my free online organizing workshop. This workshop helps you turbo-charge your decluttering efforts or overcome getting organized inertia if you’re feeling stuck and don’t know where to begin. “Help! I don’t know where to begin” starts next Tuesday.
Alright…now onto this week’s giveaway! You know how much I love labeling…right? I mean, I even went so far as to put labels in my refrigerator. That’s someone who loves a label. So you can imagine my joy when Brother offered a new Simply Stylish PT-1290 as a Freebie Friday giveaway. (Thank you, Brother!)
Here are some details about this brand new labeler. The Brother P-Touch PT-1290 labeler is the more advanced handheld labeler in the new Simply Stylish product series. The PT-1290 has a sleek look and includes 15 “Deco Mode” patterns that can print up to two lines for more efficient labeling.
More details about this nifty new labeler…
- Sleek white color.
- Handheld design with Typewriter style keyboard. This is so important…fast, simple labeling!
- Uses laminated “TZ” series tapes up to 1/2″ wide for indoor and outdoor use.
- Operates on 6 “AAA” batteries (not included) which means this labeler is portable. In other words, you can take it right to your refrigerator to do some labeling, and then head straight to your home office to label some file folders. No electrical outlet or computer is required.
- 15 Deco Mode Patterns for extra-stylish labels.
- Prints 1 or 2 lines.
- Professional, pre-set layouts accommodate up to two rows of text which means you can get detailed with your label descriptions!
- Auto tape detection feature automatically adjusts text size based on label width.
- Built-in memory saves up to 9 of you favorite labels.
So, I know what you’re thinking “How can I get one of these fine labeling machines?” Well…here’s how you can enter to win.

I am soooo happy I found your blog. I am a Mom of 9, 6 still living at home. I love getting new ideas. This would be great to use in my crazy, busy house. “A place for everything and every thing in it’s place!” Words from my Mom, but so true!
Thank you
Christi
I have added your button on my blog and tweeted too! 🙂

I have many things going in and out of my house right now. One kid moved our permanently to her own new house. One kid moved out for freshman year of college. Inherited items from my mother and my sister, who both passed away in the past year. Lots of organizing to do!
I need it because I label everything in my house, maybe not everything.. my husband and kids have been spared until now.
I find it to be a great way to organize and also helps other people to know where to put things plus mine just broke yesterday!!
I feel so much better when I have a label on something and the something is there!!! Your website is really helpful! I am mom of 2 and teacher to 20,4 year olds and I could really use this P-Touch to organize at home and at school! Thanks
Why I need the brother PTouch is because I am painting my scrapbook room(my space) and remodeling(Carpet, counters, cabinets, the whole 9 yards) I would love to be able to label all my scrapbook room goodies(papers,Buttons,Stamps, etc. so the are organized and easy to find and also I would love to use it to label things in my boys room.
Why? To organize creatively and continue the process of simplifying life. I couldn’t help but use a play on your concepts. I’m signed up for your upcoming workshop. I can’t wait to start!
I’m moving into my first new home and a label marker would make sure that I start organized and (I hope) stay organized!
I need one of these beauties because I have way too many hobbies, and I can’t remember which drawer I’ve stored all of the various supplies in! Nice, neat labels would be a fantastic help.
Ooh I would LOVE this? Why … because I need organization help – very bad. 🙂
As useful as Post-its™ are in my knitting, they make lousy labels for anything else! I’d love one of these labelers!
Thanks for such a great blog. I’ve gotten so many awesome ideas here!
I tweeted.
I need the new labeler because it will help me better organize all my wedding stuff. It’s taking over my life right now.
I was just thinking this morning that I need to get myself a labelmaker!! Why? Because I have a pantry full of containers and sometimes I am not exactly sure what’s in each container, even though it’s seafood. I mean, have you ever tasted raw tapioca to see if it is, indeed, tapioca? That’s what I had to do recently!
(I am Canadian, it doesn’t say in your post whether or not Canadians can enter, if not, then ignore this post)
I don’t have twitter. 🙁
Well golly gee- you sure pushed me out of my comfort bubble with that whole “post on twitter” thing! The last time I had tweeted anything was 5 months ago!
And why would I love to win this labeler? Well, with a one and a half year old and another on the way, I have discovered that labeling (by hand currently) brings me just a step closer to sanity. Any step closer to sanity is a lifesaver right about now! And with the nearing onset of a nesting explosion, a snazzy labeler such as this one sure would come in handy!!!
Oh, Aby! I have been using a Brother P-Touch for years! My old one fell off a ladder (Don’t even ASK what I was labeling that time!) and broke.
I need a new one: I have our family’s 110-year-old, floor-length Christening Dress stored in a large, square Tupperware container.
On the lid, in a family-tree figuration, I have labels noting my g-g-g-grands who made it, and each of the names of the seven generations who have worn it.
I have a three-week-old granddaughter whose name needs to be added now, AND NO P-TOUCH!!!!!!! (You can see a picture of her in the dress last Sunday in my Twitter post!)
I need this because, thanks in part to your site, I have recommitted myself to becoming more organized! Winning this would be a great incentive to accomplish my goals!
Because it looks like so much fun!!!!
I need it because my handwriting is terrible, and my labels are because of that not very chick 😉
After 4 years of being a SAHM, I am about to start back at a full time job, working out of my home office. I fear chaos will ensue! Pretty please may I have the lovely labeler to label my home office supplies, school supplies, laundry stuff, pantry stuff (I have a big big pantry), hamster supplies, the dog…
