And it could be yours!
That’s right…up for grabs for this week’s edition of Freebie Friday is one spot in Quick + Simple Clutter Control…the online workshop that helps you clear you clutter, quickly and simply. What could be better than that? Well…
How about sharing your clutter control efforts with a supportive, enthusiastic and fun (!) group of online friends? Yep, you get that, too.
How about having a professional organizer (that’d be me) at your access for the entire duration of the workshop—answering your decluttering questions, keeping you motivated and sharing ideas and inspiration? Yep, you get that, too.
How about having the surface clutter in your home under control and a new decluttering habit under your belt before the start of April? Yep, you get that, too! If, of course, you participate in the daily challenge and follow along with the class concepts…but of course, you’ll want to do that, right?
So how about if Aby tells you how you can win…
OK, this week, as before, to win all you have to do is post a comment. This week I’d like to hear which area in your home is most in need of a spring cleaning or spring decluttering spruce-up. Share this in the comments section before this Sunday, March 1st, at 8 PM central…and you could be decluttering, with your best new friends (and me) on Tuesday! Good luck!!
My garage and my basement. As a military wife who moved every three years, I now find myself settled into one house for the forseeable future. I need to stop saving things that might fit in the “next house,” and try to fit all of my stuff into this house.
I have a few spots on my list for major spring cleaning, but I’m going to say my laundry room. I’m actually ready to start too. I’d love to get it cleaned out, spruced up and painted a bright, cheerful color. I hate doing laundry so I’m hoping that by making the room more inviting, it won’t seem like such a miserable chore.
Well, two months ago I would have said my craft room but that’s coming along nicely thanks to you and Wendy at GOBI. Now I’d have to say that my basement is definitely in need of some spring cleaning!
This spring our basement needs major decluttering. My daughter is getting married and I have been saving things too long.
The unfinished portion of our basement is in desperate need of help! Desperate! Becca
We moved back in May of 2008 and I have not done much organizing at all. Definitely my craft room, but just the whole house in general. It would be great to have professional help (with organizing of course!).
Where to start?
1) I have recently lost weight so my closet needs purging so I dont grow back into my fat clothes
2) The closet in my office is the ‘just-throw-it-in-here-and-shut-the-door-so-nobody-sees-it’ place
3) The counter and cabinet on the way in from the garage door are a MESS.
4) I have a finished basement with very little storage, and I need to organize and purge the things that are stored in them.
All in all these spaces suck the energy out of me. I loved how relaxing my craft room felt after purging my supplies in the GOBI class. I am ready for that feeling in my whole house.

All my closets and cupboards need a good dose of “spring cleaning”.
My kitchen and my unfinshed basement. My kitchen is where everyone “empties” themselves as they come in the door…..so there are shoes, mail, backpacks, you name it…..everywhere. And, when I am totally overwelmed with it all – I move it to the unfinished basement so I don’t have to look at it. (So you can figure out how that got messy!)
My entire house can use some work, really. But specifically, my dining room & guest bedroom. Both were shoved full of stuff during my kitchen & bathroom renovation last summer. After that, they became the “I’ll deal with it later” spots in the house. Now I’d like them to be useful & organized spaces again.
My closet is probably the worst inside the house. The garage is terrible right now too. It is always at its worst right before spring.
I need to declutter my attic and about 5 closets! I could really, really use a little help LOL!
All my rooms can use the help… but if I had to choose 1 or 2, it would be:
(1) our family room – w/2 young children, it’s just so hard to keep it clean enough for guests to pop in;(2) and the other area is our kitchen/breakfast nook w/a messy desk (mine) – the main culprit in this area is ‘paperwork’!! I just can’t seem to get it under control besides throwing it all in a box and ignoring it for a few days. Help!!
I’ve been de-cluttering lots of areas in the house over the past 6 months.
3 areas left that need it the most are:
1. Husband’s office – I really need to send him away for a day!
2. Daughter’s bedroom – again, need to send her away for a day too as she likes to keep everything!
3. Garage – seems no matter how many times I touch it, the clutter always comes back!
definitely my bedroom! when someone is coming over, i tidy up the rest of the house, but not the bedroom… it is full of things that have no “place” of their own. knowing this is half the battle, right? 🙂
well, eternally, it’s my craft space!
But the public area is the space around the computer in our kitchen/family room.
My Office. It’s a hot spot. It’s a diaster! YIKES!!!
How about my whole house? My main concern however is the livingroom/dining area. Those are the rooms we use for everything.
The master bathroom closet. I can never find anything in there!
My craft room. It needs a total overhaul. Oh, and my husband! No matter how many times I tell him where things go he still doesn’t put the dishes in the right places!!!
