Just a quick check in post for my Finish It Friday friends. How was your weekend? How did you do with your to-do list?
I’m happy to report that I (nearly) finished my Week In the Life project. Saturday morning into early afternoon was spent making final photo decisions, cropping photos and placing the order. (Wow, that took a while!) I picked up my photos Saturday evening and assembled everything into the late evening hours. I have just a few finishing touches left to do (like pick up the *three* photos I forgot to include in my order – argh) and then I’ll post a few photos later in the week.
I’m so happy I did this. And I’m really excited that the whole thing is nearly done just one week after documentation week. Setting the goal of getting it done in a set amount of time was really empowering for me. I didn’t do it last time…and the project lingered for quite a long while. The deadline really helped me avoid some “perfectionism paralysis” at many points in the process. So, hooray, my Monday report comes in as an ecstatic (almost) done! Woohoo!
Can’t wait to hear about your weekend and how you did with your to-do list!
Congratulations on getting this project done. I have a lot of scrapping goals that have never been completed because I don’t break the task down into steps and I don’t plan for any “due dates.”
I didn’t have a Finish It Friday goal for this weekend except to try to relax. I had some surgery last Tuesday, and I honestly had to force myself to just sit and recover!
Congratulations. I finally put away all my winter clothing in designated boxes, made a huge pile to go to the dry cleaners, shoe repairs and alterations. Made a huge donations pile and totally reorganized my closet with summer clothes. Everything is so colourful and beautiful now. I love it.
I finally got the house back in order. It was complete chaos after the wedding and honeymoon.
Here’s what I did:
1. Caught up on housework
2. Caught up on laundry (didn’t think that would
ever happen)
3. Returned all the wedding gifts we decided not to keep or had duplicates
4. Stood as a bridesmaid in a friend’s wedding, fulfilled all my bridesmaid duties
5. Purged leftover wedding supplies out of the office
6. Hung up a board with hooks for my tools
It is so great to feel like life is back to normal! With the added bonus of being married!
Congratulations! I can’t wait to see the finished product. I finished my photo selection, printed out the quotes Ali did the first couple of days for my album, enjoyed my parents visit and enjoyed the weather. Today I am uploading pictures to print and working on finishing my journaling for my Week in the Life.
Enjoy your week.
This was really helpful! Thanks! I completed everything I planned to finish, plus a few more. Thanks for the motivation!
Kitchen is sparkling. Laundry is one load away from being done. Searching for glass for the porch light was unfruitful. So… I passed that task on to the landlord. So two out of three done!
Congratulations on getting that project done. I can’t wait to see it. I started it and finished with photos yesterday. I didn’t have a list this weekend but I finished cleaning out two flowerbeds AND removed all the ‘stuff’ from them from the yard. That is an accomplishment!
Hi Aby, can’t wait to see pics… I finished my LO #1 and #2 for the LOAD challenge so I had a fun scrappin weekend, also some laundry and finally got around to pick a swatch and ordered the new sofa…
We had a super productive weekend….scared me really! Here’s what I got done: started end of year gifts for teachers (finished 2 of 4 yesterday), made a going away gift for a friend, painted 2 shelves, created (digi album) and ordered MOMS Day gift, changed the air filter, laundry, dishes, helped kids (7 & 4) with birthday thank you cards, and pulled about 40 buckets full of weeds (by hand) from my yard! It was an awesome weekend, but I’m feeling it now! Hoping to wrap up some more teacher gifts today and get to the grocery store!
