It’s Friday again! Ahhh…Friday. I have really been looking forward to seeing you again. I am quite ready for a bit of R & R this weekend. I think I have finally gotten my sleep schedule (and home) back in order after being away last weekend. It’s always quite amazing to me how being gone for even just three days really throws my sleep and my home out of whack. So I’m looking forward to a bit relaxing so I feel really caught up and rested come Monday. And of course, I also have a to-do list waiting for me.
So, here’s my Finish It Friday list.
- Help Kailea finish up her science fair project.
- Finish laundry.
- Start and finish cleaning the house.
- Pick one item from my “to-finish” list and finish it!
- Finish cheering on the Colts for the season. (Good luck team!)
So let’s see a show of hands: who out there created a “to finish list” a few Fridays ago? (Blog post about that here.) If you didn’t, why not make that your one extra to-do for this weekend? I really love having this list because when Friday rolls around and I’m thinking about the weekend, I can pull out my list and decide what I want to do this weekend. Or better yet, I can not decide right away (like I did this weekend) but still know at least one thing will get finished up this weekend.
Alright, are you in this week? I’d love to hear what is on your to-do and to-finish list this weekend! Hope you have a great one!
As the week went on this week I started to write down FIF jobs so that I would have a few ideas for today, but I do like the idea of having a full ‘to finish list’ so will add that to the list. Ok, here are mine for the weekend, quite a few!
1. Write presentation by the latest Sunday night
2. Prepare back boards for my meeting, using stars
3. Prepare health and safety training package
4. Sew buttons on my coat!! (how long have I had that on my to do list…you don’t want to know!)
5. Order some bits through Vista business printing instead of just saving it into my inbox saved file folder!!
6. Take my Blackberry in for repair
7. Do a ‘to finish’ list
8. Make card for submission to publication
9. Make valentine’s sample cards for Ian to take to work on Monday
10. Start and finish cleaning the house ready for our visitors tonight
11. Plan in some ‘me’ time, a nice hot bath, glass of wine, candles and a good book is desperately required :o)
Looking at this list I think I will need no.11 by the end of doing all that lol :o)

8) sort through and clear out the twins A.R. bookcases.
I feel pretty good about this list. 4 of the items that I plan to get done are off of my ‘to finish’ list.
This list may seem short, but it has a couple of real time consumers
1. Finish my MK part of our taxes
2. Start our household part of the taxes
3. Finish laundry. Is it ever truly done?
$. Finish up another season of watching football games on TV. I know
someday the Chi Bears will be back at the Super Bowl!
Good luck to all
1) Laundry (the bane of my existence)
2) reload all missing software on my desktop – it was completely “wiped” at work last week and I am starting from scratch.
3) play catch-up with my online classes that I have missed due to traveling for work this week
4) read all my email and clean out email folder
5) read everything in Google Reader
6) once software is loaded, do at least two digi layouts
7) post layouts to blog and class forums
We are having a lot of snow and I already did the grocery shopping on Friday in advance of the storm – which means we are housebound and I can hopefully (crossing fingers) get through this list!
Laundry, sort photos that just came in and file them, maybe sort some more, chores, make invites for hockey game/bday party, hook up computers and install programs (wish me luck on that one!), find clear stamps or at least look for them again…..
Totally forgot about Finish it Friday. But this is what I have on tap for today.
1- put fabric away that has been hanging out on the bench in my foyer for an embarrassingly long time!
2- declutter in my school area for 15 minutes
3- plan meals for the week (I know I have this on here every week and it’s not that I plan to do it on the weekend, I just let it go ’til the weekend. I really need to work it into my weekly schedule.)
