…for the first time all day. It was our second “snow day” of the week here. I put that term in quotes because really, if the grass is still showing through the snow, is it snowy enough to call off school? Apparently it is here in Southern Illinois. This just isn’t Michigan. Completely different snow day standards around these parts. 😉
So I’m going to go enjoy the quiet and get some things done before bed. Here’s wishing you quiet if you need quiet…and if you need noise…well, feel free to stop by my house tomorrow…it may snow flurry tonight and my kids will probably be home again… 🙂
We have a new Supt. at the school I work at in Central IL, so the snow day did not happen ..but the ice that is coming here tomorrow night..just might make Break start a day early..woohoo (I am as bad as the kids when it comes to snow days) But there have been times in the past that we have had 2 snow days in a row…IL weather gotta love it!
snow LOL it was 32oC (about 90oF) here today – and muggy and steamy hot
Good morning–we are having our 2nd “Snow Day” here in the PNW. However, we do have snow and ICE on the roadways which are pretty much all hills around these parts. Makes for a trecherous drive. My mom had my kids yesterday and they drove her crazy, so I’m taking a “Snow Day” from work and staying home with them today.
At least, with snow on the ground, I can send them outside to play.
Hey, the southern Michigan report is 5 inches yesterday – 11 to 12 expected tonight. The trees are gorgeous, all filled with snow. Truly a picture perfect Holiday scene. Lucky us!
If it makes you feel any better they had a snow day in Seattle yesterday and it didn’t snow one bit. Not a flake.
It was a snow day in anticipation of snow 🙂 We on the other hand, in Oak Harbor, are looking at almost 12 inches! That never happens…

I live in FL. I don’t think we’ve had snow in over 15 years here. They will call off school for it being “too cold”. Not even sleet, just too cold for kids to be waiting outside for buses. Go figure! We never got school called of on account of “cold”.
Wishing for some peacefulness – kids home from school and ultra excited about all the snow, sleet and freezing rain in addition to Christmas – thank goodness for naps!
