Happy Friday friends! How was you week? Hope you had a good one. I’d like to invite you to participate in Finish It Friday today…especially those of you who have been sitting on the sidelines. It really is a simple and effective way to have more fun and get more done. And it’s as simple as sharing your weekend to-do list in the comments, and then, sharing your updates on Monday. The “Fun” list is stuff you’re planning to do this weekend for fun, and the “Done” list is stuff you plan to get done…or if it’s a bigger project, it’s stuff you plan to make progress on this weekend. Are you ready to share? Here’s my list. Hope you’re inspired to share yours this week. 🙂
Fun
- Run 3-1/2 miles. Hopefully with Kailea. Check! It was hot and humid, but not too bad. Love running with my girl. So great.
- Organizing appointment. Check! Really fun project.
Done
- Laundry. Check. I have one more load to go…and then we are caught up.
- Plan meals + grocery shop. Check! And thanks to Collin for filling in for me on the shopping piece of this.
- Project Life. More editing and printing (hopefully)…and some assembling, too. Yay! Check (ish.) I didn’t do any editing or printing, but I did spend quite a bit of time assembling. I really didn’t realize how far behind I was! I have a bit more assembling to do tonight…and then it’s back to editing and printing. (And tweaking my approach so this can move up to the fun category. 😉 )
- Wash reusable shopping bags. Check!
- Clean out paper basket in kitchen. (Getting ready for summer – 2 days of school left!) Nope. Not yet. I will do this tonight.
- Update calendar with summer plans. Nope. Not yet. Again…I’ll do this tonight.
- Trader Joe’s run. Check!
Okay…I think that is plenty to keep me busy because like last weekend, Saturday is pretty much spoken for. I hope you have a terrific weekend! I’m looking forward to seeing what’s on your weekend to-do list. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for joining me again this week! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. 🙂
So interesting you put Project Life in your Done category and Organizing Appointment in the Fun category! 🙂
I love having this weekly accountability challenge because it forces me to pause for a few minutes and make a list. I am so much more likely to get things done if I have a list. Most of my list is a carry over from last week. I have the beginnings of a sore throat so I’m hoping to take it easy over the weekend.
FUN
-Project Life
-Creative Team Layouts for document life workshop
-order stamps
-family photo shoot if it doesn’t rain
DONE
-Pick a date for the Oregon trip. Seriously. this needs to happen.
-draft/schedule blog posts
-GS Donation letter
-mail basket clean out
-budget check in
I have a feeling PL will move back up to the fun category…once I get past Easter! 🙂
So my sore throat went away and summer weather beckoned and we spent time outside. So it was fun and I got more done.

– Knitting time – No
DONE
– Laundry – Check!
– Fresh sheets – Check! I love the feeling of fresh sheets.
– Catch up on paper basket – Check! And I took the time to file, shred, or take action on everything, so no clutter was created. 🙂
– General de-clutter in at least one room – I’m counting this as a check! I didn’t focus on one room as I had planned, but instead got some decluttering done in the worst spots in several different rooms.
Fun
Knit night!
Done
Spread bark mulch on flower beds in the front & back yard
put down weed blocker on the garden (and pull weeds)
continue digging round river rock out of another flower bed
laundry
house cleaning
hmm, I feel a bit unbalanced. not enough in the Fun category! (but I suppose that makes up for last week which had very little in the Done category…)
It’s a terrific approach to strive for balance over time…there’s definitely waves filled with more fun, and waves filled with more done. 🙂 Hope you had a great weekend.

This weekend seems a little heavy on the “fun” side. But I feel like I need it this weekend.
Done:
Grocery shop/Errands
Laundry
de-clutter scrapbook room
Fun:
Manicure
Movie
Hobby Lobby trip— (since I didn’t get to do it last weekend!)
Scrapbook-PL style (Goal 6)
Also—- I need to find a new storage/organization system for my scrapbooking memorabilia… any suggestions or sites I can visit for ideas?— (I guess this falls into both a fun and done category)
Shanon – what kind of memorabilia? Stuff you intend to scrap or stuff you’re just saving? I use a simple basket to store my ephemera that I intend to use in my project life albums. You can see more info here on my blog:

Checking in a little early! Plans for the week changed last minute and I may not get a chance on Monday!
Done:

Laundry– actually that’ll get done tomorrow. Mondays are always my laundry day.
de-clutter scrapbook room—CHECK
Fun:
Manicure–CHECK
Movie–CHECK
Hobby Lobby trip— CHECK…. But they were already sold out of the PL kits that interested me! 🙁
Scrapbook-PL style (Goal 6)– CHECK
Also—- I need to find a new storage/organization system for my scrapbooking memorabilia… any suggestions or sites I can visit for ideas?— (I guess this falls into both a fun and done category)— CHECK. Thanks Alissa for your suggestion. The memorabilia I am referring to is stuff I may want to scrap, but not stuff I will be using in the PL albums. (I have several scrapbooking projects going on but on only one of them am I using PL.) I think I figured out what my problem was with the system I was using and it wasn’t the storage container (I was using an accordion file) it was the way I had organized it and where I was storing it. So I went through and decluttered my file and re-organized my categories to match how I organize my photos. And then relocated the file to a more convenient location. There is still some indexing I want to do, but hopefully this way will turn out better for me!
Good for you for isolating if it was a storage problem or a categorization problem (organizing problem!)
So sorry you weren’t able to get the PL kits you wanted. Hope they restock soon.
Aby
Congrats on solving your problem! And super bummer they were out of you PL kits – nothing seems to be moving here in central Illinois. I am so addicted to PL kits!
