Its official: we’re ready to go back to school!
Yippee-hooray—it feels really good to have that project finished! Beginning school in August still feels foreign to me. As a kid I always went back after Labor Day. So it just feels way too early to be going back to school now…but beginning the back-to-school prep in July really helped (especially in light of our last minute vacation to Michigan.) But all in all…ahhh….we’re ready. Yay.
So, that’s what I finished this weekend. How about you? What did you finish? I can’t wait to hear! Please share your victories in the comments section so I can personally woohoo you!
Also…for those of you who were interested in the lunch mail notes from Compendium, they contacted me so I could share their Friends & Family sale with you. Get this…with the discount code FRIENDS30, you can get 30% off everything you order. And if you order $50, you can get free shipping. The special is going on through the month of August. I think I may just do some (dare I say it?) early Christmas shopping in light of this good news and stock up on a few more lunch mail notes, too! Thank you, Compendium!
Have a happy Monday!
OK hopefully this won’t post twice. It seems to have lost the first one. Woohoo for you! I had a productive weekend:
1. Finished the thank you cards and got the housewarming gift together.
2. Did some samples for a friend who wants some thank you cards.
3. Cleaned the house and completed the wash so I can have 3 days this week to craft.
4. Started the 50th anniversary album I need for Sept.
5. My husband changed the oil and cleand my car. Love a clean car! Off my list! Yeah!
6. Sat down with hubby and figured out how many vacation days left to schedule. He is going to check the schedule at work so I can get them scheduled.
Thanks for the motivation. I’m really organized but time seems to be flying by so I needed to get things in gear for sure.
OK it’s not too early to start Christmas shopping. I’ve made all my gifts except for some notepads. Next is the shopping for the nieces and nephews. I’ll do one a week and then I won’t have any bills at Christmas. I like to really enjoy the holidays and not be stressed. Have a great day.
Congrats to you! I sill have a huge to-do list and the week is shaping up to be very busy. I am not sure how it will all get done and I want to be able to have a day or two just to hang-out with the kids. Usually I start getting things together as soon as school gets out. Doing a little each month, but this has been the busiest summer we have ever had and it just didnt happen.
Now it is a rush to get everything together.
I have done a little Christmas shopping, but mainly I have been getting my Christmas Planner together for this year. Maping out what gifts I will make and who to buy for. I am hoping to stay on track with that again this year.
I got the entire attic cleaned out – including about 10 trashbags out and at the curb! I rebinned everything in matching bins – it looks so pretty now 🙂
AND we started homeschooling today – today was my son’s first day of kindergarten and my daughter’s first day of preschool! So the school room is in order and we had a GREAT morning together going over the ABC’s, some math, the 7 continents, phonics and literature!
I also wrote out my new “daily schedule” which helps me keep my priorities a priority. If anyone wants to see it go to :

I found your site through Kelli @ Outside my Kitchen Window… how have I lived without it? =} Those lunch mail notes are so cute I just ordered the sampler set. My 2nd grader is going to love them! Thanks for sharing!
I did get my pictures ordered for my upcoming scrapbook weekend. I also got all my coupons clipped and organized. I saved nearly 50% when I went to the store last night!
I did not get to the desk or my daughter’s school files. But that was because the family spent over 4 hours helping my husband move classrooms at his school. He found out a week into the school year that he had to move rooms and teach different subject!
So, not quite everything done from my list, but still got a lot accomplished!

Why do we use it?
It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
