It’s a Finish It Friday like none other before: I’ve already finished my list. Woohoo! Now granted the list was short, but let’s not confuse short with simple. My list for this Friday consisted of packing for L.A., but boy was this an involved process. I’ve realized over the past couple of weeks, while shopping for a dress, shoes, evening bag, the right hosiery, jewelry, figuring out what to do with my hair, etc., etc., etc., that most of the time I really am a very low maintenance girl. Whew…this is way harder than blue jeans, but a lot more fun, too. Many, many thanks to my friend Janine (a.k.a. my wardrobe consultant / shopping buddy) who helped me get this wardrobe thing figured out. If it weren’t for her I might be curled up in a ball right now in some corner somewhere…
If you want to see the rest of my “to-do list” for the weekend, my friend and Saturday night roommate Krista Colvin has a great blog post about the awards program and weekend festivities. I’ll be sitting with her Saturday night at the Organize.com table…really looking forward to that.

Remember to post your Finish It Friday list…I will be checking in on Monday to see you what all you finished up. Have a great weekend!
I haven’t posted on your Finish it Friday before but I read them all the time.
This weekend I plan to:
– empty out my bathroom cupboards/shelves and purge + reorganize
– empty out my kids bathroom cupboards/shelves and CLEAN, purge and reogranize
– paint one small wall in the kitchen with chalkboard paint
– finish burning the pile of cds to my iTunes library
– go through my kitchen and give away any things that I do not use on a regular basis (appliances, dishes, baking stuff etc)
add in the regular laundry, cleaning, cooking etc. and it should be a busy weekend.
Break a leg at the awards! I voted for you!
Good luck at the awards. I can totally envision you winning!
My finish-it Friday list is simple: back up my photos onto DVDs. A good friend just spent a sleepless night thinking she had lost all of her digital photos from the last 2 years, all of her digital scrapbooking supplies, and all of her layouts. Thankfully the Apple Geniuses were able to retrieve her files, but it made me check on my own backups, and I found that I had not copied a single photo from 2009 to disc. Not cool. Gotta remedy that this weekend!
Ok so this weekend I need to:
– Finish up a strategy project from work (ugh, I know…working on the weekend. But even now I know I’ll need to)
– Clean up my place, just needs a little scrubbing
– Write a few blog posts for http://www.theunchaotic.com to schedule for next week
– Catch up on laundry!
That’s it…but like you said, short doesn’t mean simple (or easy!)
Good luck everyone 🙂
Here’s my short list
– abc album for my youngest’s first year
– 10 page kits for LOAD
– finish up my monk bag that I started a long time ago
Oooooh! The awards sounds amazing! Look forward to hearing about them!
Finish it Friday (gosh is it really Friday already??!!) I plan to put all the boxes that are in our hallway into the garage & finish getting the house ready for about 30 guests for lunch after our daughter’s dedication service at church on Sunday morning! I also need to finish decorating the fairy cakes that my 2 year old daughter & I made today for Sunday. I think that’s enough to be getting on with! :o)
HAve a great time away & good luck! Emily :o)
I really look forward to this each week now. I’m glad I finally decided to join in! Ok, so here goes for my weekend list;
1. Washing (my pile is growing!)
2. Photograph my blog candy and do post (had it sitting in a box for AGES)
3. Write and post letters
4. Filing
My list is a bit shorter this week, but it does involve a lot! See you Monday! Happy and productive weekend everybody!
Can’t wait to hear all about your weekend, Aby!
Mine will not be quite as eventful.
– finish decluttering bookshelves in living room
– finalize February budget
– inventory fridge & freezer, menu plan
– 2 boxes to goodwill (yes, the same ones from last friday!)
I haven’t posted mine in a few weeks, so I’m really glad to be back. I’ve been feeling a bit off these past few days, so I’m gonna’ plan for light and go heavier if I find I can. I will:
* Get this new bodybugg thing working
* Sort the tools
* Finish Organizing 101 week 1 work and start week 2
* Catch up on Goals workshop
* Take treasurer’s boxes to new treasurer
This weekend is going to be a me weekend.
Straighten up the scrap room, with in-laws here I was getting things out, but not putting them away.
Get the clean sheets back onto the bed in the guest bedroom (finish it up so its ready for our next guests, whenever that will be).
Start planning the next layouts in my grandson’s album.
Do some purging of my digital pics, in prep for the LOM class that starts next week.
Of course there’s a bit of laundry and general tidying to do as well.
Hey just wanted to say have a fantastic time in LA!!
