Hello my friends. Here’s wishing you a wonderful New Year filled with everything your heart desires. I’ve spent the day doing a bit more intentional decluttering with my 2011 goals in mind. I can’t remember the last time I’ve felt this energized and motivated! What a fun way to say goodbye to 2010 and hello to 2011.
In case any of my Finish It Friday regulars are interested…here’s a quick Finish It Friday list from me. I’d love to hear how you spent this final Friday of 2010 and your plans for the rest of the weekend. Thanks, as always, for playing along.
Play List
- New Year’s Eve dinner out with Jay and good friends.
- Watch football (go Michigan State!) and eat some “I’ll-start-my-diet-on-Monday” snacks. 🙂
To Finish List
- Finish putting away Christmas. 🙂 It was a wonderful season…but I’m ready to pack it all up until next year. Ahhh….
Happy New Year my friends. Cheers!
Finish It:
1. Pack up Christmas…clean out items that didn’t get pulled out this year!
2. Begin to declutter …I’m hitting every room this year before March. Big yard sale in March
3.Pull out the calendar to plan vacations, budgets, goals with the family. January 1 is the beginning of a new motto in the family “Make do, Nothing New”
Play List
1. Family coming to visit…this will stall the clean up of Christmas until they are gone but will be fun to visit.
2. Reading
3. Knitting or scrapbooking….want to visit both of these more in the new year.
I am finally managing to come play again!
Finish it list:
1. Pack away Christmas.
2. Finish decluttering and organising home office.
3. Catch up on laundry.
Playlist:
1. Mummy-daughter date.
2. Get back to blogging!
So motivated for this new year!
It was all play this Friday. We have a visitor for several days, my friends 15 mon old daughter, so with seven kids underfoot, there was nothing more important than being in the moment with them.
I do need to het busy this weekend though….
To Do:
Launch our annual “Jump Start” which includes a recommitment to healthy eating and three months of not eating out, setting our yearly budget and focus intently on spending for the next several months, and a major declutter/purge/house overhaul. This year we’re also adding in all the home maintenance tasks that were neglected during our foster parenting/adding rapidly to our family years. Five children in 3 1/2 years left little time for anything else.
Happy New Year Aby! Thanks for all the inspiration over the past year! Wishing everyone a happy & prosperous 2011!!
Finish It List:
1. De-cluttering my son’s closet(make a substantial donate pile).
2. Laundry
3. Clean Kitchen
Play List
1. New Years Eve w/ Friends.
2. Football watching on Sunday.
3. Make a new post for my blog.
4. Snap some pictures of us enjoying our last days of winter vacation at home.
Hi Ladies, Happy new Year!
My Finish it Friday list:
-Laundry (as always)
-Putting away New Year’s cards.
Enjoy!
I know this has nothing to do with your post, but I LOVE the basket shown with the file folders in it. I just bought some adorable file folders and was trying to come up with a way that would allow me to show them off AND use them in the ways I have attended.
Where can I get this basket?
Thank you!
Hi, Tara,
I got the basket at World Market several years ago. Unfortunately, last time I checked they weren’t carrying it anymore. As of yet, I haven’t found a suitable replacement.
Thanks for your question — sorry I don’t have a better answer for you.
Aby
