Sounds good Aby!
Today i plan on writing down all those unfinished scrapbooking projects i have and so i have a starting point next time i have a spare moment to scrap. I have so many ideas/projects on the go at the one time i find it hard to know where to start.
Also today and tomorrow I am determined to finish the laundry. I want to start next week with everything cleaned, ironed and put away. I feel at the moment that it is overruling me and I am constantly behind on it.
Finish it Friday is a toughie for me because my husband is home on Fridays & Saturdays – making it near impossible to get at my tasks. I’m usually in the mindset of “Finish it by Friday” before he is home.
I think because of this, I have to focus on something small but no less important. This weekend I’d like to print off the picture my two year old “drew” onto cardstock and make it into Thank You cards for her birthday gifts (her birthday is the end of May – better late than never).
Hi Aby, I am joining you! Today I am going to complete Hunter’s registration packet for the upcoming school year!
I have been waiting all week for Finish It Friday! I have some clean up to do in my office and am going to tackle it today! I am also going to finish cleaning my bathroom (which I started two days ago)! Thanks for the inspiration!
I was determined that this week Finish it Friday would be the catalyst to get a lot of nagging little stuff off my to do list and out of my overburdened brain. So I tackled Finish it Friday with a vengeance and accomplished the following:
1. sewed button on pants.
2. repaired bent bra strap hook (don’t you just hate when they get caught in the dryer???).
3. bleached shower grout.
4. calculated our quarterly earned income taxes and set up a calendar reminder for the next two quarters.
5. clipped coupons from last week’s newspaper.
6. responded to an email I was avoiding.
7. made phone calls to schedule and/or reschedule doctor, dentist, gyn, and lab work appointments (I’d been avoiding scheduling one of those since last October!)
8. filed all paperwork in kitchen.
9. completed last two lessons in Jessica Sprague photo editing class.
Victory! I’m now caught up on my class and my paperwork. And all those other things on the list took ten minutes or less for each item. What the heck was I waiting for?
I am joining you, too ! I am going to get my daughter’s suitecase packed for camp next week. We have a busy weekend and that would save some headache come Sunday night when we might be scrambling to get her ready for Monday morning.
I am going to “play” and start packing my car with all the baby stuff that is crowding my bonus room/office so that I can bring it over to the consignment store tomorrow! Thank you for the push!!! It may take severval Finish Fridays but al least its gettin done!
So many to choose from this week. My fiancee got in an accident this week so everything on my To Do list has been pushed aside. He’s going to be fine though so now I can catch up!
I think my Finish It Friday will be a weekend long event! Some of the things I want to do are:
1. Clear some clothes out of my closet. It is so overstuffed, my clothes are getting wrinkled just hanging in there!
2. Sell/ Donate clothes from previous item.
3. Post my tripod on ebay.
4. Get my nieces birthday present now instead of putting it off until the last minute.
5. Bathe the dog. And take him for a checkup.
6. Have a family meeting. I was inspired to do this from one of your previous posts!
Hmmm, I might try to squeeze some other stuff in there but I’ll make these my first priorities. Wish me luck! I’ll need it!
My project this week its an easy one, get the house clean for my 3 year olds party on Sunday, however, it is easier said than done, we’ve had relatives in town for 2 weeks so with several beach and pool trips no clothes had gotten put away, 6 loads plus towels and linnens need to be washed and put away, 26 cupcakes, 26 cookies (100% vegan due to allergies, so that means baked from scratch)need to be baked and decorated and 15 party favors need to be wrapped. Then on to vaccum, sweep, mop, spot treat carpet, dust tables, clean garage floor and put all the stuff out of place in place since due to the hot weather, the party will be hosted there.
I will let you know how this went… I am wondering if I just take all the clothes to a laundry service…
This week I started the Finish It Friday early! We started last Sunday getting ready for a garage sale and cleaned out crawl spaces, closets and the like. We had the garage sale yesterday and today (finishing on Friday! :)) We’ve got a local charity coming to pick up the “leftovers” on Monday morning. Phew. Then the things don’t come back into the house.
i finished my 20 year old doll blanket!!! what will i do next week?
I’m in for the first time! I want to finish 2 things:
* all the decorative things I created for my inlaws 50th anniversary (WOW, 50 years of marriage, can you imagine!): print the menus, set up the table at the restaurant, etc. I’ve already started: the menus are getting printed as I speak… uh type! LOL
* put away dry laundry, wash and hang up one load.
I finished recovering two short stools that I have needed to be done for years!! Cost $25 for two!!
For my Finish it Friday.. i vowed to get my pictures uploaded or scanned in to post online. And, I did it! Not only was I relieved by it, but my extended family and friends are happy to see them too!
