Happy March to you! Didn’t February just fly by? Well, here we are on the first day of a fresh new month…with spring just around the corner. Spring—and spring cleaning—are on my mind right now, so you’ll see a bit of that in this month’s checklist. I’ve also created printable pdf (download March-checklist) of this month’s checklist with space to add your own to-dos.
March Get Organized Checklist
Set your goals for the month.
Check your monthly tickler folder.
Create a spring cleaning checklist.
File your taxes. When you’re done shred any old records or documents you no longer need.
Inventory your pantry and freezer. Create meal plans to use up freezer and pantry items.
Declutter your spring home décor.
Get ready for storm season.
Remember to spring forward on Sunday, March 13th.
Wash light fixtures, dust lamp shades, and organize your stash of extra light bulbs.
Create a spring cleaning mini zone. Corral favorite cleaning items into a handled bucket.
Change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
Check your carbon monoxide detector.
Fix something broken…or decide you never will and let it go.
What are your plans for the month? I’d love to hear your ideas for welcoming spring and getting organized in March! Thanks for sharing your ideas in the comments!
Thanks for this great list. I’m in the mode! 🙂
the download did not work for me 🙁 however I printed the post and thank you for this push. March is the start of birthday season for our family – we have 4 birthday parties at our home in 3 months so we definitely need a big organization push
I am planning on getting my kitchen organized as well as our front closet 🙂 And if the weather gets warm enough — the outside storage!!
