A common result of decluttering is a plethora of empty storage bins and containers! When you encounter this in your own organizing and decluttering efforts, take pause and recognize these empties as signs of progress! You’ve created space. You’ve created breathing room. You’ve let go of clutter!
After patting yourself on the back, decide what to do with all those empty containers. I recommend holding on to your favorites until you’ve finished organizing. Place your containers together in a centralized location and create a container station in your home. Then, when you organize another space in your home, “shop” your container station to see if you have something on hand that will work for your current project. When you know there’s a container you’ll never be happy using again, send it along to your favorite charity with your next load of donations!
This is an awesome idea! I use to think I wasn’t organizing the right way or even being organized at all if I wasn’t using every bin or storage box that I had. I thought maybe my grouped items were still to vague or I wasn’t be detailed enough but organizing is a work in progress & our lives are always evolving so now I hang onto to the unused storage bins knowing that as I continue or my families needs change I am sure to find use for them & this way I already have them on hand & don’t need to go buy more. Thank u for confirming this & allowing me to know there is no one right way to being organized. If it works for you & you don’t feel stressed about your setup then your pretty well organized.
Same here i have empty bins every where that i have not used, but do need to use now i know i can just make a bin zone station to corral them no more bins on the kitchen counters lmbo thanks
