I am super excited to be a part of Spawn of True Scrap. You may recall that I participated in the first True Scrap…or you may be thinking “What is the Spawn of True Scrap?” Well if you’re in that second group, Spawn of True Scrap is an amazing online scrapbook event happening this October that allows you to take live classes from expert instructors all from the comfort of your own home! (Click here to view more details.)
In my new class I’ll be sharing tips, secrets and a simple process that will show you how to make the most of your scrapbook space. If you scrapbook in small space, a shared space, or at a temporary space like on your kitchen table—this class is designed with you in mind. I’ll be showing you how to find hidden pockets of storage space for your scrapbook supplies. Plus, you’ll learn how to make the most of your area with space-stretching storage solutions. You’ll also learn how to create a functional and inspiring scrapbook area that will make you a happy and productive scrapbooker.
As I’m putting together this class I wanted to reach out to you and find out your biggest challenges when it comes to scrapbook organization. I’d love to share solutions to your challenges in the class content. And…as a way to say thank you for taking the time to answer, one lucky person will be drawn at random to win a signed copy of The Organized & Inspired Scrapbooker and a One-Room Organizing Plan Coaching Package with me (value of $125.) With this coaching package you and I will work together to solve your scrapbook organizing dilemmas and put together a plan to create an organized, functional and inspiring scrapbook space. I just revamped storage in my office/craft room so I’m hoping to start scrapbooking here soon. (We just moved a few months ago) I think the biggest challenge with scrapbooking has always been being able to quickly pull out and put away what I’m using when creating pages. I don’t get it out unless I have several hours to commit because it doesn’t seem worthwhile once I get tools, paper and photos out.

I have a small desk in our master bedroom that I use as a scrapbooking area. Our home is on the small side and I don’t have a lot of room for anything – so my desk becomes a catch-all for everything that I need to address. If I ever have a chance to scrapbook – I have spend an hour clearing off the desk. By that point, I’m no longer inspired, out of time, or have kids bugging me. Adidtionally, there isn’t room in the area to store a lot of my supplies, so stuff is scattered all across the house. 🙁

I’m mostly digital but like to do some hybrid projects and other paper, ink and glue stuff. Keeping my craft table clear is a job for me even though I have a whole room …just for me and my art.
My husband built me a scrapbook room in one of the spare bedrooms. We used the white cube storage and then he put molding around it so that it looks built in. I have places for absolutely everything…drawers, cubbies, boxes, magazine files, hanging files…and I love it. (Pictures to come on my blog shortly.)
The one thing I struggle with, however, is where to put the things I’m currently working on. My actual work space is the butcher block from a kitchen table. Then I have a rolling cart that I slide over and put my paper trimmer and other supplies I’m working with on. But unfortunately the guest bed seems to always get covered with all of the extra stuff I want out so that I can see it: paperwork from events, the various albums still in stages of development, report cards and magazines. I just can’t figure out what to do with this stuff that I need to “see” to remember to include in my albums.

My biggest challenge is getting interrupted and never getting to finish a project. Then it ends up getting forgotten. Thanks for the chance!

Since the birth of my son, I haven’t had the space (or time) to even think about scrapbooking. Now that he is 2 and more independent, I’m in the process of cleaning out or basement so that I can claim part of it as my craft area.
I scrapbook on my desk. My biggest challenge is to have enough place to display at the same time my working page, my tools, my supplies without glueing weird things or putting ink on clean items.

I have a space in our finished basement, and I have challenges when I’m working on more than one project. The first one is set aside, never to be seen in months, then I discover it under a pile of items and wonder what I was doing with it! Thanks for the chance to win 🙂

i have space in our guest room. the biggest challenge for me is having things where i can see them (if i can’t see it, i often forget i have it. ie. decorative paper)
thanks for the chance to win
my biggest challenge is organising work in progress ~ how to keep active projects present as a reminder to keep going on them, and how to store inactive / incomplete projects so that I do get around to them and not forget them.
space is of course a premium as I work in a shared space, so work is continually being packed away and pulled out again. sometimes it all piles up and gets in a muddle making it hard to actually grab a few spare minutes to do something on a current project.
I scrapbook in different area since I don’t have one dedicated space. This makes it difficult, because if I need paper/supplies I have to go to my bedroom where I store everything. Then I go to the kitchen table to actually scrapbook. Then I have to put everything away because of toddler or when it is time to eat.
