As you go about declutttering your home, remember to keep on top of electronic clutter, too. Unlike paper clutter, electronic clutter isn’t so visibly noticeable, but if you’re having a hard time finding your electronic files, it may be time for an e-purge.

Use the same criteria you’d use for paper organizing. Consider things like:

  • Does this item support a current project?
  • Do I need this email for historical reasons?
  • Is it likely I’ll ever think to reference this document again?

If not…consider hitting delete and create a bit more space on your computer’s hard drive (and yours!)
