What it is: This week’s storage solution is the TubTrug.
Where I got it: I got mine (a different brand) at Target late this summer. But you can find the original TubTrug year-round here.
Why I love it: The first thing that caught my eye was the color. See, I’ve got this thing for green and you may also recall that I have a thing for buckets. So this green, flexible, bucket-shaped container, well, it just sort of jumped in my cart. (Containers have a way of doing that when I’m out shopping.)
Anyway, I use mine for all sorts of thing around the house such as corralling cleaning supplies. They’re also handy for stowing items for short term projects like sewing supplies. And with the holidays right around the corner, I think they’ll be super-handy for hiding stocking stuffers, organizing birthday party goody bags, and fun things like that. They’d also be great for gardening in the summer (picking fresh veggies or collecting pulled weeds). And they’d be super cute in the toy room or a kid’s bedroom holding stuffed animals or other small toys. The original TubTrug is made of food grade plastic (which really opens up possibilities for use) and they come in a wide variety of sizes and colors. So really, what’s not to love?
What do you think of the TubTrug? Could you see uses for this container in your home or garden? I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas! Thanks for sharing.
I love them too. In fact I have a lime green one I use as my laundry basket. We also use them when gardening, collecting pulled weeds etc. Don’t know what we did without them before they came on the scene!
I have the same green one – it is currently holding my 5 YO’s rescue heroes handed down from his big brother. . .but I’m feeling a switcheroo coming on. . .

I love them ~ currently I have two blue ones which I bought as beer ice buckets for a big party. Now they are used for laundry. one to hang clothes out and one for ironing. so useful as you can squish them and carry both handles in one hand.
Am sure we’ll be getting more for toys, gardening etc
We have some of these at work and they work amazing!
I don’t think they are the original ones though, i didn’t even know there was an original one haha
I found smaller buckets at Target about a year ago for $1 apiece.
If I am not using them, they are stacked up. But I use them to sort through things, carry things from room to room, store sewing works in progress. Some baskets are used to store things on a high shelf or just to organize like things.
That’s funny you have a thing for buckets. I have a thing for baskets!
