Hello friends! I hope you had a great week. It’s time for our weekly Friday tradition of sharing our weekend to-do lists. But, since it is the first day of a new moth, I thought it would also be great to provide the opportunity to share our goal progress for everyone who is participating in the 13 Goals in 2013 challenge. Sound fun? Let’s get right to it.
- Goal #1: Run 500 miles in 2013. If I run four miles this weekend (which shouldn’t be a problem) I’ll be at 90 miles so far for the year, which is right on track for this goal. Hooray!
- Goal #2: Read The Happiness Project. This is done. Loved it! If you’re looking for a good book to read this month, I highly recommend it.
- Goal #3: Do Project Life. (If you’re new here and aren’t familiar with Project Life, check out this blog post where I talk about why I’m doing Project Life, and these blog posts where I talk about Getting Organized for Project Life Part 1 and Getting Organized for Project Life Part 2.) So…this is going really well. I’m really happy about it! Generally speaking, I’m sticking with my plan to edit and print two weeks at a time, and then, assemble the pages in the evening throughout the week. It’s already fun to look back on the first two months of the year – seeing our routines and also seeing how things have changed already in just two short months. I love this goal.
- Goal #4: Complete The FUNdamentals of Getting Organized. This is definitely keeping me busy right now, but it’s super fun to see it coming together. More on this soon.
So…that’s where I am so far. I love this year’s approach to add one new goal per month. My March goal is to finish The FUNdamentals of Getting Organized…and then, maybe I’ll dive into my “April” goal a bit early. 🙂 Either way, I’m really enjoying the process of letting goals percolate and simmer…and I am finding that introducing new goals throughout the year is fueling my motivation—good stuff.
How about you? How are doing with your 13 in 2013? Please let me know in the comments!
With those goals in mind, here’s my weekend to-do list (and see my Monday check-in below, too.)
Fun
- Run 4 miles. (Goal #1) (Check!)
- Boot camp. (Maybe…if I feel up to running tonight. I have a cold. Running does seem to help.) (Check!)
- Knit. (Check!)
- March 2012 Project Life. My 2013 Project Life has inspired me to go back and do Project Life retroactively for 2012. It’s actually kind of fun! Last year spring came in March. I find this very encouraging. 😉
Done
- Laundry. I’m in great shape as if right now. I love heading into the weekend with empty hampers. (Check!)
- Meal Plan / Grocery shop. (Check!)
- Edit + Print Photos for weeks 8 and 9 of Project Life. (Goal #3)
- Make Progress on FUNdamentals. (Goal #4) (Check!)
So, that’s my weekend plan. What’s yours? Thanks for joining me for Finish It Friday. I hope you have a great weekend!
Monday update: I hope you all had a terrific weekend. Mine wasn’t as productive as I would have liked…boot camp and my cold zapped my energy on Saturday. But…I got some the most urgent stuff done, and did quite a few unscheduled things like cleaning out the freezer and straightening up the pantry. So, all in all, it was a good weekend. Hope yours was, too! See you back here on Friday for another round. 🙂
hello…I’m back 😀 finally over a really bad flu bug and able to plan activities again. and to make it super simple….I have a very short list as we’re away this weekend:
Fun
+ visit the in laws
+ take fresh flowers and birthday gift
+ get outside for a walk or swing in the park
Done
+ finish packing
+ keep working on spring cleaning. I’m taking very tiny steps, by doing things that are immediately to hand when I get a spare 15 minutes ~ a drawer here, a window there and am surprised how much is getting done! I was worried it would be too bity to keep track of but my tick list is working a treat!
+ diary check and to do list for week ahead
+ menu plan for week ahead
So sorry to hear you weren’t feeling well Hannah! Glad you are doing better now. Hope you have a great weekend. LOVE your approach to spring cleaning. 🙂
Aby
Thanks Aby 🙂 good to be back 🙂
I’m actually impressed with how much spring cleaning is happening around here…I’ve not seen the benefit of 15 minute tasks demonstrated so well as now…I guess it is the visible benefit of seeing a difference immediately.
so my weekend plans all changed as visit to in laws postponed due to illness.
Fun:
visit and flowers cancelled until next weekend, which is also our mothers day so ties in nicely
– get outside ~ big check. we went to a small livestock farm instead and had a great day introducing DD to goats, pigs, rabbits, donkeys, lambs, chickens, ducks and turkeys. She had an amazing time and a hard time leaving a rabbit behind!
Done
– packing for next weekend now, but list all drawn up so should be quick
– spring cleaning happening ~ entrance hall done, fridge started, kitchen appliances done, garden done.
– diary check done
– menu plan done
A Short to do list this weekend. I feel like there’s more that I’m missing
FUN:
Complete retro PL for 1Q 2011
PL 2013
Dr. Seuss Party Saturday Morning
DONE
Renew carbonite
schedule 2 blog posts
organize PL stuff
Hope you have a great weekend Alissa!

Busy weekend ahead, well a busy tomorrow 😉
TO DO:

* Finish PL 2012 – pictures are in!
* Do January/pages for mini PL for boys
We’ll see how much I get done being gone all day Saturday…. Sunday is for mostly fun and resting. I see a PJ day in my future with some chores thrown in!
Great list, SuzyQ. I’d love to hear more about your mini PL for your boys…
Purposely have a short list this weekend.
Stop by the park to measure and count tables and check on electricity availability (for family reunion in July)
Prepare meal plan for March in preparation for going to the grocery on Sunday
“Dig” through fabric stash for muslin to back two wall hangings I pieced together 2 weeks ago. And cut the batting to size. Then I can figure out what quilting design to use to finish these twin wall hangings.
In my fidgety times, I’ll figure out delegation of responsibilities for the picnic. Need to pick up stationary for the invites as well.
Great idea to keep your list short…mine could have been a bit shorter this weekend. 😉
Got out to the shelters and measured the spaces and tables.
Inventoried my pantry at home and discovered we needed very little from the store (yay).
Found muslin in my stash for one of the wallhangings, will need to buy more muslin to have enough for the other one (and it’s on sale next weekend).
Put together my reunion planning notebook and talked through the plans with hubby.
Now I’m turning my attention to creating a family tree display to set up at the reunion (long-term project with the 4 July deadline).
Productive weekend.
Last weekend got away from me and before I knew it, it was Sunday and I had forgotten to post my weekend to do! Not missing out this weekend! I love how simply typing these on your blog Aby, keeps me accountable for them! I’ve been more productive than I have in months!

Nice list Keri! Do you run 10 miles all at once? Either way – 10 miles in a single weekend is fabulous – congrats!!
Done: (My house needs a little TLC… we are heavy on the “done” list this weekend)
–Grocery shop/misc. errands
–Laundry
–Clean Kitchen
–Clean House (I’m separating the kitchen from the rest of the house for a few reasons… One, the kitchen is such quick job that it’s one area I’ve been able to stay caught up on…. so this is just part of my weekly cleaning schedule. Two… I share the kitchen with my sister, so my responsibility only consists of a small area. And three… I’m actually behind on my cleaning for the rest of the house, so I’ll simply settle for making progress in that area!)
–Reschedule dentist appointment
–Organize weekly planner.
–Declutter closet and bathroom cupboards (again, I’ll settle for making progress)
Fun:
–Pina Colada night with my sister
–Make Progress on Goal 1
–Rest and Relaxation!
Hope you had a nice weekend! Glad to see there was some fun on your list. 🙂
